Montreal Winter Travel Edit
Montreal, Canada is a great location to explore and one we are extremely passionate about since our headquarters is located in the heart of the city. From its art and culture to its restaurants and unique architecture, you won’t run out of things to do during a winter trip to Montreal. It's the perfect location for a weekend trip filled with sightseeing, good eats, and live entertainment. As you pack your bags, we read our list of things to do and what to wear, designed to save you time when packing for your upcoming getaway.
Sightseeing
For a long day of sightseeing in Montreal, you want to be comfortable and wear a few layers as the weather shifts throughout the day. There are so many great museums and art venues in the downtown area. You will definitely want to check out Rue Sherbrooke and Chateau Ramezay to immerse yourself in history and architecture. In order to stay comfortable and minimize wardrobe malfunctions, we recommend a few tried and true classics. A pair of High-Rise Straight Jeans will never serve you wrong with their premium stretch and simple style you won’t feel out of place or over or underdressed as you explore all that Montreal has to offer. If you find yourself out to eat at the end of the night, this dark-wash style will still look elevated enough to be worn in the evening. Layer easily with this chocolate brown Corduroy Sherpa Jacket to stay warm while you’re exploring the city.
Nightlife
In the evening, dress yourself up and head to Place des Arts where the Montreal Symphony, Orchestra, Grand Ballets, and Opera venues are located to experience the performing arts. If you are in search of a true French dining experience, we suggest dinner at L’Express. Wear something that fits the scene like the Hayden Sherpa Jacket in Ivory. Pair it with a fun boot or heeled shoe. If you’re looking for a bottom this pair of Elliott Slim Pants are a great option that feels dressier than your classic, go-to denim look. Top off the look with a timeless pair of gold hoops. We are loving these sustainably-made hoops from Aurate.
Exploring the Food Scene
The part of town known as Mile End is considered to be one of Montreal’s best neighborhoods to grab a bite! We suggest starting the day at Cafe Olimpico for espresso and a light breakfast. Grab some delicious falafel from Falafel Yoni, stop by Hansang for some amazing Korean food, or get a woodfired pizza from Pizzeria Magpie. In order to both look and feel your best we suggest opting for a looser fit wide-leg pant. Our Stevie RCB High Rise Flare Jeans are perfect to pair with a warm chunky sweater. We love The Alpaca Oversized Turtleneck from Everlane. This combination will keep you comfortable, on-trend, and most importantly warm while exploring Montreal this winter.
